On Sunday, 27 June, the Board of Control for Cricket in India posted the picture of Shikhar Dhawan and Rahul Dravid.
Captain and coach of team India for the Sri Lanka tour are introduced in the post.Post revealed that Rahul Dravid is going to be the coach and Shikhar Dhawan will be the captain of team India upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.
India India is going to play three One-Day Internationals and the same number of Twenty20 Internationals against Sri Lanka.
The series is scheduled to commence from 13 July, 2021 and will continue till 25 July, 2021. Venue for all matches is R Premadasa stadium, Colombo.
Shikhar Dhawan will be the captain of Indian team and former India captain Rahul Dravid will be the coach.
Captain of team India, Virat Kohli and head coach, Ravi Shastri will be busy in five-match Test series so the responsibilities are handed over to Rahul Dravid and Shikhar Dhawan and captain and coach of team India for the Sri Lanka tour will be Shikhar Dhawan and Rahul Dravid.
Some of the great players of team India will be absent for series against Sri Lanka as they will be revealing their abilities in England.
