5-match Test series is going to be held between England and India. It is scheduled to commence from 4^th August, 2021, Wednesday at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

After the time period of three years team India will be playing against England on the land of United Kingdom in a five-match Test series.

Hanuma Vihari is also available in choice to be used as opener but if past performance is considered, Rahul’s career stats are much better. So , KL Rahul become first choice to be used as opener.

KL Rahul has played 36 Test matches up till now and he played as opener in 34 matches out of 36.

In contrast to this, Vihari has played only 12 Test matches up till now and he was used as opener only in one match. This point is also in favor of fact that KL Rahul become first choice to be used as opener.

Rahul also holds the experience of playing as opener in white-ball cricket.

He started his international career in the year 2014 and smashed maiden Test century in second Test match. He became the first Indian to hit a hundred on One Day International debut as well as the third Indian to hit a hundred in all three formats of international cricket.
