Mayank Agarwal ruled out of 1st Test between England and India because of head injury.5-match Test series is going to be held between England and India. It is scheduled to commence from August 4, 2021, Wednesday.

First match of the series will be played on 4, August, 2021 and Mayank Agarwal will not be the part of first Test against England after showing signs of a concussion.
Mayank Agarwal was chosen as opener for Test between England and India but now Mayank Agarwal ruled out of 1st Test between England and India.
On Monday Mayank Agarwal got a hit on the helmet while a net session in Nottingham.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has given the statement that Agarwal was hit on helmet, when he was batting during nets session at Trent
“Agarwal was hit on the helmet while batting during India’s nets session at Trent Bridge on Monday,” the BCCI said.
BCCI added that Agarwal was assessed by Medical Team of BCCI and concussion test was also performed.
BCCI said that signs of concussion were revealed and that is why he is ruled out of Test match.
BCCI also informed that he is stable now but he will kept in medical observation.
“The BCCI Medical Team assessed him, and a concussion test was conducted. He has shown signs of concussion and is ruled out of the opening Test. The 30-year-old is stable and will remain under close medical observation.”
Mayank Agarwal ruled out of 1st Test between England and India .Other players – Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar and Avesh Khan also suffered injuries and now they are returning home for rehabilitation.
Mayank Agarwal ruled out of 1st Test between England and India and there are two options available for team India to be used as opener with Rohit Sharma -KL Rahul and Abhimanyu Easwaran.
Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav will be reaching to England but they will be able to play the remaining matches because after reaching there, both have to complete the mandatory quarantine period of 10 days.
