Eion Morgan – led Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Virat Kohli- led Royal Challengers Bangalore in match 31 and second match of second leg of Indian Premier League 2021. Coming next, Glenn Maxwell made only 10 runs in 17 balls. AB de Villiers suffered golden duck.
Sachin Baby could achieve only 7 runs in 17 balls. W Hasaranga became the player who was out on duck.
Jamieson contributed only 4 runs made in 12 balls.
Harshal Patel and Siraj gave the contribution of only 12 and 8 runs respectively while Chahal hit only 2 runs.
Chakravarthy and Russell picked up 3 wickets each. Russell registered best bowling figures for KKR as he grabbed 3 wickets, giving away only 9 runs in 3 overs.
Bowlers of KKR resisted RCB from hitting good score and all batters of RCB were out after making the score of only 92 runs in 19 overs.
Kolkata Knight Riders Innings :
Shubman Gill and debutant Venkatesh Iyer gave an excellent start to the innings. Playing the match with full vigor Shubman Gill 48 runs in 34 balls with the help of 6 fours and 1 six.
Venkatesh Iyer remain at crease till the end and gave vital contribution of 44 runs including 7 fours and 1 six in 27 balls to make his team win.
They partnership added 82 runs with the fall of first wicket.
The bowlers of RCB were not able to provide resistance to flow of runs, only Yuzvendra Chahal bagged one wicket.
Highest energetic batsmen of KKR and in contract less active bowlers RCB made the match go in favor of KKR.
KKR hit the score of 94 runs in 10 overs with the fall of only 1 wicket and registered thrilling victory against RCB with 9 wickets.

RCB managed to score only 92 runs and the score made is their sixth-lowest in IPL history.
RCB faced their 6th successive defeat in UAE.
In UAE, RCB registered their last victory against KKR. In the match RCB restricted KKR to the score of only 84 runs with the fall of 4 wickets ad brilliantly chased the target only in 13.3 overs. That was big defeat for KKR and in this match KKR defeated RCB with nine wickets at the same place.

While playing this match, AB de Villiers has made his sixth IPL golden duck.
Up – till now AB de Villiers has made total 10 ducks in IPL and it is second-highest for any overseas player. Glenn Maxwell is the overseas player who has made highest number of ducks that is 11.
Conclusion :
RCB was neither able to good with bat nor with ball. On the other hand KKR amazed everyone with their excellent bowling skills. It was really a great win for KKR with 9 wickets and 1 over remaining.
KKR achieved fifth position in the team standings and RCB is still at the third position.
