IPL 2021: Stats made in Match 35 , RCB vs CSK

Mahendra Singh Dhoni – led Chennai Super Kings defeated Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in 35th match of Indian Premier League 2021 held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on Friday, September 24, 2021.Some important stats made in match 35 are mentioned in this article.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and took decision of bowling first. The game has gone through different turns throughout and it was really difficult to predict the winner. Both the sides put all their effort to win and finally CSK came with flying colors.

With the result of this match, CKS has achieved first place in team standings and RCB is at the third place.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Innings

Openers Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal gave a praiseworthy start to the game. They were slow and steady, playing the safe shorts.

Kohli hit 53 runs in 41 deliveries with the help of 6 fours and 1 six. Devdutt Padikkal’s performance has grabbed more attention as he has smashed 70 runs from 50 deliveries with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Their partnership added 111 runs for the fall of first wicket.

No other player from RCB was able meet the need of the hour. Even performance of Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers led to disappointment. The downfall started in the middle over.

Dwayne Bravo was proved the best resistor to flow of runs of RCB as he bagged 3 wickets and gave away only 24 runs.

With this RCB was restricted to score of 156 runs for the fall of 6 wickets.

Chennai Super Kings Innings

Openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis added 71 runs for the fall of first wicket. Gaikwad added 38 runs in 26 deliveries with the help of 4 fours and 1 six.

The graph of runs for CSK has not gone through many variations as all the players keep on scoring and RCB did not suffered any downfall. There was not big contribution from any player but all contributed in fine manner.

Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu contributed well. Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni were on the crease when their team achieved triumph by six wickets.

With the combined effect of all the players CSK successfully chased the target and hit the score of 157 runs for the fall of 4 wickets.

RCB’s  stats made in match 35.

RCB faced 7th consecutive loss in UAE and this number of consecutive defeat is highest for any IPL team in the UAE. Mumbai Indians has faced six consecutive losses in UAE.

CSK’s   stats made in match 35.

In this match, Chennai Super Kings has made their highest powerplay score. The team smashed the score of 59 in the first six overs without the loss of any wicket.

Dwayne Bravo’s stats made in match 35.

Dwayne Bravo has achieved the position of 4th player who has played for CSK in 100 matches. First one is MS Dhoni, second is Suresh Raina, and third player to play 100 matches for CSK is Ravindra Jadeja are the other three holding the milestone.

The partnership of Kohli and Padikkal added 111 runs and this score is highest partnership score for RCB against CSK for any wicket in history of IPL. Before this, partnership of Kohli and Chris Gayle added 109 runs for the second wicket in IPL 2012.

MS Dhoni’s stats made in match 35

It happened for 23rd time that MS Dhoni was on crease in chases that ended with victory for the team in IPL. He has attained second position in this regard as Ravindra Jadeha holds the record of being on crease in successful run chase for 24 times.

Faf du Plessis stats made in match 35.

Faf du Plessis has completed his 350 runs of IPL 2021 and he became the third player to do so. Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul are the two players who have achieved this record.

Virat Kohli’s stats made in match 35.

In this match, Virat Kohli hit his 41st fifty of IPL 2021.

It happened for 46 times that Kohli has hit the score of 50 and 50+ in IPL and it is joint highest number of times for any Indian player. Shikhar Dhawan is another player with this record.

Devdutt Padikkal ‘s  stats made in match 35.

Devdutt Padikkal recorded his sixth IPL fifty while playing this match.

Suresh Raina’s stats made in match 35

Suresh Raina has completed his 5,500 IPL runs and he is the forth played to achieve the great record.
