Pat Cummins was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 15.5 crore in IPL auction of year 2020.Cummins bagged a contract of INR 15.5 crore from KKR in 2020 which has made him the most expensive cricketer in the history of IPL at that time.
Co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan would have been a fan of highly impressive skills of Pat Cummins. Cummins has also never disappointed the team and always performed wonderfully with bat and ball.

However Pat Cummins do not fall under the same category as he said that he was not having any idea about Shah Rukh Khan when he met the Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner for the first time. “The first time I ever met Shah Rukh Khan, I had no idea who he was. I think I was 18 or 19 years old and I never watched a Bollywood film. I heard that Shah Rukh was the owner (of KKR). It was quite naive (first encounter with Khan). I didn’t think of many. I was like this guy seems cool, he’s got a real aura and has big security guards,” Cummins said while featuring in the Anubhav Jain Show.
Cummins gave a lot of appreciation to Shah Rukh Khan no leader can be better than King Khan as he asked the players only to enjoy the game without building any kind of pressure on them and provide held to the players with the help of zoom calls.
“Last couple of seasons, he has not be able to get in the bubble but he helps on the zoom calls. In terms of the leader and owner of the team, you can’t ask for a better one because he only asks his players to enjoy the game and play with the freedom which is a rare thing” he added.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik has given the confirmation that Cummin sis not going to join Kolkata Knight Riders for remaining matches of IPL 2021 which are going to underway in September.
14th tournament of IPL was suspended on May 4 due to the surge in number of cases of COVID-19 inside the bio-bubble and the remaining matches are going to be held in UAE.
