Biography of Rohit Sharma :
Rohit Sharma is an international Indian cricketer as well as domestic cricketer for Mumbai.He right-handed batsman and play as opener. Sometimes, also play as off break bowler. Currently, he is vice-captain of Indian cricket team for T20 format of the game.
Early life of Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma took birth on April 30, 1987 in Bansod, , Nagpur in Maharashtra.
His mother’s name is Purnima Sharma and father’s name is Gurunath Sharma. His father was caretaker of a transport firm storehouse and his income was not much.
Due to financial problems of his father, he was brought-up by his grandparents and Uncles at Borivali.
His younger brother’s name is Vishal Sharma.
Rohit Sharma joined a cricket camp in 1999.He started playing as an off-spinner but his coach, Lad believed that he had an excellent batting ability. Lad boosted his confidence and asked him to play as opener from number eight. He performed brilliantly in the Harris and Giles Shield school cricket tournaments and hit century in his first match as an opener.
Domestic first-class career of Rohit Sharma
In 2005, Rohit Sharma played in Deodhar Trophy for West Zone against Central at Gwalior. In the match he made the score of 31 unbeaten and contributed in the victory of his team.
He played against North Zone in the same tournament at Maharanna Bhupal College Ground in Udaipur and smashed unbeaten 142 in 123 balls
He became the part of India A squad, thus got the opportunity to visit Abu Dhabi and Australia. In July 2006, he made his first-class debut for India A against New Zealand A at Darwin and smashed 57 and 22.The match resulted in victory of team India by 3 wickets.
In 2006-07, he played in Ranji Trophy for Mumbai against Gujrat and hit the score of 205 runs in 267, giving the vital contribution to make his team win.
Rohit sharma hit fifty in his second innings of final against Bengal, which made his team win the tournament.
In December 2009, while playing in Ranji trophy for Mumbai against Gujrat, he performed brilliantly making the score of unbeatable 309.

In November 2013, Rohit Sharma played first Test match of his career at Eden Gardens Kolkata, against the West Indies and hit the score of 177. He made the record of hitting second-highest score on debut by an Indian.
He smashed the score of unbeaten 111 in the second Test at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
In 2018–19 he became the part of India tour of Australia. He made the score of 37 in first Test in Adelaide to make his team win.
He was ruled out of second Test in Perth because of injury he got while playing first match. He played third Test at Melbourne and smashed unbeaten 63. India won the series as well as the match.
In October 2019, while playing the third Test against South Africa, Sharma scored completed his 2,000. In the same match, he hit first double century and hit 212 in the first innings.
Rohit Sharma got the opportunity to become vice-captain for tour of Australia in 2020.
Sharma had shown brilliant performance while playing against England in 2021.
Cricket World Cups career of Rohit Sharma
In March 2015, Sharma got the opportunity to play in Cricket World Cup in Australia. He played eight matches and scored 330 runs in the tournament including 1 hundred. He also made the big score of 137 in the quarter-final against Bangladesh.
On 15 April 2019, Sharma got the opportunity to become vice-captain of Indian team for the Cricket World Cup 2019 in England.
In the opening match against South Africa, he hit the score of 122. In the same match, he completed his 12,000 runs in international cricket.
While playing the match against Sri Lanka, he made the record of becoming the first batsman to hit five hundreds in the same World Cup tournament. He also made the record of joint-most centuries in all World Cup matches.
He became the highest scorer of the tournament by hitting 648 runs. He became the third Indian player to achieve ICC’s Golden Bat award.

On 23 June 2007, he played his first ODI at Ireland but did not got the opportunity of batting as India achieved victory by 9 wickets.

He got the opportunity to become the part of squad for 2007–08 Commonwealth Bank Series held in Australia where he played excellently and smashed 235 runs.

On 13 November 2014, he made the highest score of 264 runs in an innings while playing against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
In December 2017, he got the opportunity to lead team India for series against Sri Lanka, which started January 2018. Rohit Sharma proved himself as an efficient captain as India won the series under his captaincy.
On 12 January 2019, he performed nice and smashed 133 runs against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
On 13 March 2019, in ODI match against Australia, Rohit Sharma completed his 8,000 ODI runs while playing his 200th innings
In 2019, he made the record of hitting maximum runs in ODIs .He made the score of 1,490 runs in the calendar year.
Twenty20 international career of Rohit Sharma
Sharma got the opportunity to become part of squad for ICC World Twenty20 in 2007.
He smashed unbeaten 50 runs and gave vital contribution to make his team win against South Africa in the quarter-finals. While playing against Pakistan , he gave the unbeaten contribution of 30 runs.
On 2 October 2015, while playing the first Test against South Africa, he smashed 106 at HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala.
On 8 July 2018, while playing series in England, Sharma achieved the record of becoming second Indian batsman and fifth batsman worldwide to complete 2,000 runs in a Twenty20 format of the game.
