Bangladesh created history in 3rd T20I of Bangladesh vs Australia series 2021 as it has happened for the first time that Bangladesh achieve victory over Australia. Moreover this is for the first time that Bangladesh won the series win over Australia across formats.
Bangladesh created history in 3rd T20I of Bangladesh vs Australia series 2021 and beat Australia by 10 runs in 3rd T20I of Bangladesh vs Australia series played on Friday, 6 August at Shere Bangla National stadium Dhaka.
Bagladesh won the toss and took the decision of batting first. Bangladesh posted the total of 127 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Bangladesh innings :
The start was quite disappointing for Bangladesh as openers; Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar were not able to perform well. Mohammad Naim managed to score only 1 run in 2 balls and was dismissed by Hazlewood
Soumya Sarkar smashed 2 runs in 11 balls but very soon he was trapped in front of stumps.
The start was excellent for Australia as they dismissed 2 warriors of Bangladesh at the score of only 3 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah tried hard that Bangladesh do not face the loss of any more wicket in Power play.
Shakib Al Hasan made the score of 26 runs in 17 balls with the help of 4 fours as a brilliant catch by Ashton Agar at long-off made Shakib Al Hasan to go back.
Mahmudullah has shown brilliant performance with his bat. He became the highest run scorer of Bangladesh in this match by smashing 52 runs in 53 balls with the help of 4 fours. His increasing score was obstructed by excellent delivery of Nathan Ellis on which he was dismissed after making a good score.
Afif Hossain made 19 runs in 13 runs with the help of 1 four and 1 six.
Shamim Hossain made the small contribution of 3 runs in 8 balls and he was dismissed on the delivery of energetic pacer Hazlewood.
Nurul Hasan and Mahedi Hasan contributed 11 and 6 runs respectively.
Nathan has made the record of becoming first player who has made hattrick on debut in history of T20Is.He dismissed three players of Bangladesh – Mahmudullah, Mustafizur Rahman and Mahedi Hasan.
Bangladesh made the score of 127/9.
Australia innings :
Start was not good for Australia also as they lost Matthew Wade in the second over.
Australia was moving at good pace and made the score of 69/1 in 13 overs, Australia was at commanding position but the conditions flipped.
Ben McDermott made efforts and smashed 35 runs in 41 balls with the help of 2 sixes. He was dismissed by all – rounder Shakib
Mitchell Marsh gave a big contribution of 51 runs on 47 balls with the help of 6 fours and I six but his innings came to an end on the first delivery of 18th over of Shoriful Islam. Mitchell Marsh is the first batsman of Australia who smashed a half-century in the series.
Moises Henriques was not able to do much as he was dismissed on the delivery of Shoriful Islam after making only 2 runs in 3 balls.
This increased the hope for Bangladesh and Australia came into pressure.
Alex Carey and Daniel Christian tried hard till end but Bangladesh bowlers were quite active in resisting them.
Alex Carey smashed 20 runs for 15 balls with the help of 1 six and 1 four.
Australia was restricted to the score of 117/4 thus Bangladesh achieved victory over Australia with 10 runs. Bangladesh created history in 3rd T20I of Bangladesh vs Australia series 2021 with a thrilling win.
