Second wave of coronavirus pandemic has caused a medical emergency in the India. Cases are increasing at very high rate. Many are facing lot of health problems and many are losing their lives. Conditions are worsening day by day.
Delhi is one of the worst Covid-19 hit areas because the infected rate has increased to 30%. Many people struggling to find oxygen, hospital beds, and other basic medical facilities.
In such a difficult time there is a need to extend the helping hand for the people who are suffering and finding themselves unable to cope up with the situations.
Keeping the great thought of modesty, many people including cricketers are coming forward to the people who are in trouble due to this on-going coronavirus pandemic. Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan also came forward to show their noble deed. Cricket Academy of Pathans is to provide free meals to COVID -19 infected people.
Pat Cummins put a step forward and donated $50,000 (INR 37.3 lakh) to UNICEF Australia to aid their COVID crisis appeal in India. He motivated others also to come forward and do something for India in such a difficult time of COVID-19 crises.
Noble deed by Pat Cummins inspired other cricketers also including Brett Lee and Sheldon Jackson and they also donated money to help India.
Indian cricketers ,Shikhar Dhawan and Jaydev Unadkat also came forward to help the people amidst the crisis.
India’s veteran all-rounder Irfan Pathan also extended his help for the people. On May 5, Wednesday, Irfan Pathan declared that his cricket academy, Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) will be providing free meals to COVID-19 people infect in the South Delhi region.
Irfan took to his official Twitter to inform people about his noble deed.

He stated that the country is affected because of COVID-19 and in this difficult time it is the responsibility of everyone to help the people who are in need. He informed that Cricket Academy of Pathans is to provide free meals to COVID -19 infected people in South Delhi.

Taking inspiration from the same, Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) is going to provide free meals to COVID-19 affected people in South Delhi,” Irfan tweeted.
Irfan Pathan is also a survivor of Covid-19. He contracted the virus during the inaugural edition of the Road Safety World Series held in March 2021.
Irfan’s brother and former Indian batsman Yusuf Pathan was also tested positive for coronavirus during the same conditions.
