ICC has released new Test rankings:
On June 30, Wednesday International Cricket Council has released new test rankings.
ICC Test Rankings
ICC Test Rankings is a method in which rank is provided to the international cricketers according to their performance in test cricket. For finding the rank of a particular player points is assigned to players with the help of series of calculations. The rating of players is done between 0 to 1000 points.
For assigning points, the performance of the player is compared with his past records, if there is improvement in performance, points increase. If there is deterioration in performance, points decrease.
Calculation of performance of a player in a match is done using an algorithm, considering different circumstances in the game.
This rating method was developed by David Kendrix to rank the cricketers playing in Test, One-Day International, and Twenty20 International formats of the game.

ICC has released new Test rankings. According to that New Zealand captain, Kane Williamson has regained the first rank in the table.
Recently New Zealand has registered a historic triumph against India in the World Test Championship final. Williamson played excellently and smashed 49 runs in the first innings. In the second innings also was unbeaten at 52 and gave a vital contribution to the victory of New Zealand.
His brilliant performance in the WTC final has helped him to cross the 900-point benchmark.
Steve Smith is placed in the second position and lags behind Kane Williamson by 10 points as Smith has achieved 891 rating points.
ICC has released new Test rankings and Rohit Sharma achieved the best rank of his carrier:
Name of Indian opener Rohit Sharma moved upward in the table of ranking and placed on the sixth position. He has gained the best position of his career, surpassing Rishabh Pant.
Rohit smashed 34 and 30 in the first and second innings respectively against New Zealand in the WTC final.
After the WTC final he reached the milestone of scoring 1094 runs in 12 matches and became the second-highest run-scorer of India in the duration. Ajinkya Rahane is in the top position in this regard with 1159 runs.

South Africa batsman Quinton de Kock has acquired the ninth position in the table. He smashed 237 runs while playing two Tests against West Indies.
Indian team captain Virat Kohli and England team captain Joe Root has got fourth and fifth positions respectively.
New Zealander player Ross Taylor has achieved 14th place by jumping 3 slots. Devon Conway has achieved 42nd place by jumping 18 slots. Conway has shown his amazing batting skills while playing against India in the WTC final and become the only player to smash fifty.
New Zealand’s pacer Kyle Jamieson has also achieved the best position of his career and gained the 13th position. He has bowled energetically while playing in the WTC final and made a five-wicket haul in the first innings and picked up 2 wickets in the second innings.
Trent Boult achieved 11th position by jumping 2 slots. Trent Boult has also shown amazing bowling. He picked up 2 wickets in the first innings and 3 wickets in the second innings.
